designed the cartoons for the 'Triumph of the Eucharist' for the Archduchess Isabella Clara Eugenia; the tapestries were taken into production in the Spring of 1628 in Brussels. In 1628 Willem Panneels was accepted by the Guild as Free Master after three years apprenticeship with Rubens; he became Rubens's deputy in the Antwerp Studio during his frequent absences. His copies after study material of Rubens are now kept in the Copenhagen Printroom as 'Rubens cantoor'.
