As the parish-records for St. Martin-in-the-Fields prior to 1550 do no longer exist, his family is difficult to reconstruct. Burials: Elizabeth Lesard, 1 June 1552; Joanna Lesard, 4 february 1555: one of these may have been his 1st wife, as he remarried on 3 October 1560 Margaret Woodnett, St. Martin-in-the-Fields.
