Qualifications remark: Berendsen published her doctoral thesis: Het meubel ‘van Gothiek tot Biedermeier’, which reached its 8th edition in 1967, and many other books on furniture, her specialization. She was curator the Museum Prinsenhof in Delft and worked for Het Vaderland.
