Probably Linge followed his brother to London in 1623, where they worked together. Van Linge received numerous orders for sacred stained glass in the 1630s. With the outbreak of the English Civil War in 1642, his name was documented for the last time. Van Linge's works were not spared from Puritan iconoclasm. Branded 'anti-Christian, diabolical and popish', the panes of Christ Church Cathedral were either removed or destroyed (Saur 2015).
