Between 1460-1465 several mentionings of financial trouble. On 23 april 1465 Vercleyen testified that his wife Katline van der Stoct left him with their child and some of their goods. This without his knowledge or approval, after which her family members ('de vrienden') ordered her cousin Jan van de Lare to find Katline and to make an agreement about the child and the goods. The couple must have solved their differences, as they sold some financial interest on 13 June 1466 together. On 3 April 1478 Vercleyen and Katline van der Stoct sold an annuity on her mother Kerstine Boydens (van Hemeldonck 2007).
