lived and worked 1662-1678 in 'de Vergulde Sonnewyser Op't Water' (= the Rokin), when he sold house and shop on 25 June 1678 ; after the death of their father in 1673 he went ito business with his brothers Willem Blaeu II (till 1685) and Joan Blaeu II (till his death). He had his house 1689-1706 on Herengracht near the Amstel and a summer house outside the city; in 1694 he became 'dijkgraaf'of the Nieuwer Amstel Polder.
