Town 2015, p. 309; Walker 2014, p. 115: he lived here with his brothers Willem, Gilles and Jacob, coming according to the 1568 Return of Aliens 'for religion'; in late March 1567/8 Gilles and Jacob were living at Cock’s Quay ‘nighe to the Theames side.’ the following year, 1568, all three brothers had moved to Candlewick Street Ward where, along with several other alien merchants, they lived in a house described as ‘pestered’.
