According to Bakker he was active in Leeuwarden from 1611 to 1667 (Bakker 2008A, p. 234) On October 10, 1611 he wrote in Leeuwarden in the album amicorum of Wybrand de Geest, possibly his fellow pupil. His name was last mentioned in a deed of May 7, 1667, when some outstanding loans were repaid (Bakker 2008A, p. 189).
