met in Amsterdam with the engraver Gottfried Arnold Lehmann and married him in 1794; shortly after the birth of their first daughter on 17 October 1794, they went over to Hamburg by way of Leer, to stay clear of the French Revolutionary army, that was taking Holland in 1795 (Saur 2012)
